Short Germany visit is over

I just came back from a very interesting FAANG workshop in Prague, three days of talks about the functional annotation of animal genomes. Thanks a lot to the organizers!
More information about the even can be found here.
After the event we still had some time to discover the city.
Today we went with the whole Animal Genomics Team from the Natural Resources Institute Finland (Luke) for a hike in a Nationalpark, called Komio. AS I haven’t asked for permission to publish peoples faces, I just add here an empty photo of our grilling place.
We did a short trip to Germany and were super lucky with the weather. Where we had already almost winterish temperatures in Finland, in Germany we could enjoy 25 degrees. Here is an impression of the German autumn forest
Currently, I am in Copenhagen, attending a hackathon on functional annotation on lncRNA and snRNA in livestock. This evening, we went for the Norrebro Bryghus, a bar/restaurant that I can highly recommend! On the way back to the hotel, we passed the ‘lakes’ under the full moon, but unfortunately, my mobile camera was not really able to capture the atmosphere as it was.
