Tampere Christmas market

Admittingly not the most picturesque image from the Christmas market in Tampere, but still, yesterday the lights from the tree were switched on after a little parade. The market is certainly worth a visit!

We had today again a ‘Bring your child to work ‘-day where we used the Lego Sequencer and I want to believe, it was again a success, as the kids liked it a lot (at least it seemed like it)

No idea what has happened here, but a burned down BMW was this evening at our shopping mall’s parking place. My thought is that some kids ended their trip in a stolen car that way, but of course it could be also a technical problem only.

We went during the weekend for a Hevisaurus concert, not sure if this was my daughter’s first concert, but wasn’t so bad. Though, I was not sure, do they really play live music or is it coming from tape?!

The last two days we had in Tampere the Bioinformatics Network Meeting, unfortunately not all people could attend in person, but still I want to believe we had an excellent meeting with great ideas, how to improve our peer-to-peer support for Bioinformaticians at Luke and how to organise genomic data handling.
